JCCS 2012

Its that time of year again, time for the jccs Japanese classic Car Show. Now I just have to see if I will be able to make it. The timing is great to because I have run out of pictures from Toyota Fest. The show will held of course at the Queen Mary in Long Beach CA on September 15 2012. This is a really great place to have a car show I have been to a few there in the past; it beutiful. Looking for ward it and hope to see you there.

Its the last week of machinist school it has been a long process and a lot of information,but it's almost over. As one of the last projects I made this on the CNC with mastercam.

The search

Well it looks like both my wife and I are getting jobs if so I am going to need another car. Our schedules are going to cross over and having just the camery will not work. So still being finantially hinderd it will have to be under 1000 (well under). Would like to find a toyota 90 or older rwd and stick perfered. Corolla, supra, cressida, or a space van would be awsome. I know I dont many followes and have not been posting much latley but you will get a standing ovation and become a patren saint of the site. Heck I'll even break off some enthusiast swag for you if you can bring a super deal home for me. Requirement running well cosmetics not as important.

The History of the LF-A

Here is a really cool video showing the history of the making of the LF-A, Lexus's Super car. This car has is more engineered than most air planes. The LF-A is leading the way for Toyota to start building sports cars again.

Here is the 2009 F-1 Team Toyota car, this was the last year Toyota participated in the Formula 1 racing.
 

TRD Where is the love.

The hardest thing to me about owning earlier model Toyotas is the lack of after market support, from either TRD (Toyota Racing Development) or other companies. Unless you own an Ae86 Corolla you find you self in a futile search of the internet that will most likely take you to Australia. The Aussies seem to have a large following of Toyota fans. One company to check out if you are in the hunt for parts is King Springs.com. I have found more then a few models they make lowering kits for. I have never ordered from them so I don’t know how well the international transaction would work out. But my point is if you look at Nissan any of their 80-present Sports cars have a ton of after market support. You can find page after page of any part you can imaging from suspension to engine performance.  Maybe they should make more cartoons about other Toyota platforms then they would get some help. If you don’t make it your self it probably doesn’t exist.

The love of Toyota

My love of the Toyota started with an 85 Supra-Celica I bought about 5 years ago while I lived Albuquerque New Mexico. It was not the newest or nicest vehicle I have ever owned and to be sure it had more than a few problems. But as soon as I seen the post on craigslist (of which I admit is a very close second addiction) the shape, lines and attitude of the car drew me in and I was hooked. I had up to that point had owned about 15 different cars of just many makes and models from VW beetles to an old Subaru, but none of them ever captured my imagination like that car. I could see the potential in what I could be. This is a small character flaw of mine seeing what could be instead of that is looking me in the face.

Long story short after a list of Toyotas since that, I have decided to start this blog to devoted to Toyotas and other events in my life.  More to come soon……….
