My little girl is in the hospital with an infected eye. It looks
like she was attacked by a wild monkey or something. It is a very helpless
feeling when you child is sick. You have to help people who are trying to make
them better by making them hurt more. You want to say no, no go away but instead
you are holding your baby down as accomplices in the act. When I was still
drawing blood from pediatric patients the parents who always say
as I was leaving the room; “the bad man is
leaving”. That always made me upset I am trying to help you child get better
and you are talking bad about me as I walk out the door.
Now I am the parent and I still feel like the
bad man. They had to do a CT scan and even though she was sedated and did not
suffer at all during it was very hard for me to watch.
