What??

This is a Suzuki R+ even though its not a Toyota I had to post the crazy camber. I want to know is it driven like this?? The only thing I can think is that is on air bags, either that or it has been lowered and the camber was uncorrected or majorly modified.

What is Bosozoku??

I learned something while searching for boso cars to share with you. I decided to look up the definition of Bosozoku and here is the mean in found per urban dictionary.com

bosozoku
Japanese motorcycle gangs. They can be seen wearing pilot jumpsuits and kamikaze headbands driving around roads and highways on souped up motorcycles decorated with battle flags and no mufflers meaning you can hear the full roar of their bike engines.

Bosozokus mostly consist of teen aged high school drop-outs unlike their western counterparts such as the Hells Angles which consist of mostly middle aged war veterans.
The more civilized car modification not associated with illegal activity is called Garuchan. Very similar to the Bosozoku cars, these cars are similar in appearance but with their owners preferring to distance themselves from the anti-social image of the Bosozoku. These cars are inspired by the Japanese Super-Silhouette racing cars of the 1980′s with over sized spoilers and wings being the order of the day.
And now you know the rest of the story.

Boso Vans

Ok so it looks like December is shaping in to a tribute to Bosozoku. In the tradition of over done decorations on houses and shrubberies I have decided to post the most outrages Boso Toyotas I can find. Marry Bozo December!!

Here comes the vans! In the Boso Style the vans seem to be the most over the top. With bumper that extend up 6 feet of the front and back to huge bat like wing coming from the top and rear. Here are some Toyota Hiace Van (not available in the state) with a Lexus thrown in.

Bosozoku Style

A lot of people dont like these but I admire the imagination and creativity. I dont know how the heck you could drive one around but thats the price you pay for cool.

If you don’t know bosozoku is a style of customization in Japan where you exaggerate the body lines and features. Huge fender, extreme spoilers and stretched front lips are just some of the crazy thing that is done with theses cars. With how all the JDM trends so popular here make me wonder how many we will see here.

Only a Honda owner

I hate to say it but only a honda owner would have out right talent to put this together. The home made sheet metal body kit and can you really have too many many spoilers!? (note the use of the interobang). It looks like a bonzoku project gone wrong. But on the other hand you have to start some where.......I guess.

My change is going to come!

Things have been a little rocky lately; I lost my job at the end of November. So money has been a little tight. The Cressida that I sold went to the rent instead of my track car like I had planed. But I have been working here and there and I have an interview Monday.

But that’s not the point of this post. As you may or may not know I work as a Lab Assistant, I have been doing this for about 10 years off and on. It is a job that I just kind of fell into; a guy said go take this class and I’ll give you a job. But its not something that I really have a passion for and I am getting to where I want to make some changes. This brings me to the point, as of January 17, 2012 I will be starting my schooling as a Machinist. I will be attending NTMA a not for profit trade school in Ontario California.

I have always enjoyed working with my hands and making things, and due the complete shortage of aftermarket parts for older Toyotas I think this is the change. After my training and gainful (and again I state Gainful) employment I will start working on a line of after market parts for the vintage Toyota fans. Ill keep you posted.
